Empowered communities that can effectively participate in HIV/AIDS Prevention, Treatment, Care and Support encompassing issues of Human Rights for self-sustainability
An Empowered and self-sustaining society free from the effects of HIV/AIDS.
To offer quality treatment, care and support to the chronically sick persons, vulnerable and minority groups in the society in their home settings at subsidized costs.
I am the founder and Executive Director of the Lungujja Community Health Caring Organisation, a registered non-profit in Uganda dedicated to providing treatment, care, and support to individuals infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Since its establishment in 2005, the organization has served over 50,000 clients through our medical clinic and outreach programs.
Our integrated services extend beyond medical care to include legal support for women, children, and vulnerable individuals. Through our community paralegal systems, we connect clients with rights-based organizations such as Justice Centers, ANNPCAN, and HURINET, ensuring access to free legal services.
Additionally, we run a Functional Adult Literacy (FAL) program that empowers young mothers, women, and youth who missed formal education or dropped out of school. This program teaches reading, writing, and English, along with life skills such as tailoring, design, painting, arts and crafts, baking, and micro-business management.
I also hold several leadership roles, including:
Our organization is a beneficiary of the St. Paul’s Foundation for International Reconciliation in San Diego. Personally, I am a proud alumna of the inaugural cohort of the Global Change Women Leaders Training Program at the Coady International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University, Canada. I am a community health worker, HIV/AIDS activist, and committed Good Samaritan.

At LUCOHECO, we value integrity as the alignment of Accountability, Competence, Ethics, and as a tool of Corruption control. Accountability helps us to check that we do what we say we do, and responsiveness to legitimate internal and external claims, we see Competence as the ability to do our claims well, while Ethics maintain our honor and public purpose
While performing our duties at LUCOHECO, compassion helps us to feel with others giving way for true care giving and lighting up feelings of pleasure for our clients and amongst us as staff members.
Confidentiality is an important value within the working setting of LUCOHECO as a guide towards Trust and Client Safety.
On the other hand, Communication is a golden thread tying all the other functions of management together i.e. leading, planning, organizing, staffing, controlling and communicating. The value of communication as upheld by LUCOHECO promotes co-existence among staff members, the clientele we serve and the community at large.
